Objective
|
I thrive on writing and shipping high-quality software used by millions of people every day. |
Experience |
Microsoft Corporation, 2007 - present Worked with a small, agile team of engineers to develop the next generation of the voice-search interface for Bing Mobile on the iPhone, Android and Blackberry. This code is used millions of times per day by users all over the world. Principal engineers from these platform teams reviewed and signed off on our work. Collaborated with test, design, and management to explicate network logging and latency requirements and craft an actionable plan for reducing user-perceived latency across the Bing mobile applications. Created a subscriber-management service for Ford's in-vehicle SYNCª system and a SOAP-proxy for Capital One's banking IVR -- providing mission-critical functionality to millions of users for two of Microsoft's major business partners. Tellme Networks, 2004 - 2007 Architected and implemented dozens of HTTP+POX web services in mod_perl2 which process requests for hundreds of millions of telephone calls per year. Engineered reusable, unit-tested javascript libraries to ease integration of the aforementioned services into VXML applications. Built and deployed 1-800-BING-411 (Microsoft's flagship IVR system, formerly 1-800-555-TELL), AT&T Directory Assistance (411), American Airlines' flight information system, Fandango movie search, and more. |
